Did you know Medisave can be used for certain dental surgeries?
Yes, that’s right. As Specialist Dental Group is accredited by Singapore’s Ministry of Health as a day surgery facility, you can claim a portion of your expenses for dental surgery using Medisave. Note that this applies for patients who are Singaporeans or Permanent Residents of Singapore.
Wisdom teeth surgery, implant surgery, bone grafting, removal of cysts, and biopsies may be claimable under Medisave. The exact amount would depend on the complexity of the procedure and it is based on a per surgery basis.
In the event that you do not have a Medisave account or your Medisave Balance is not sufficient to cover the dental bill, your immediate family members may use their Medisave to complete payment. Immediate family members refer to your spouse, parents, or child. Please note that the use of Medisave is still subject to the Medisave withdrawal limits.
Here are two easy steps you can take to use Medisave for your dental surgery.
Show our friendly frontdesk colleagues that the said Medisave account has sufficient balance. The Medisave claimable amount will be deducted from your total treatment fee.
Make payment for the remaining amount using cash, NETS or credit card
Should you prefer not to show the balance of your Medisave account, full payment will be collected after treatment. We will help to submit the claims and upon approval, a cheque will be issued to you to refund the Medisave claimable amount. Feel free to let us know if you would like us to bank the cheque in for you or if you prefer to pop over to the clinic to collect your cheque at your convenience.

Do bear in mind that the amount stated serves as a guideline only. In reality, the amount that can be claimed from Medisave for each procedure may differ depending on the complexity of the respective procedures and Medisave’s final approval.
