Dental Assistant / Nurse

 Qualities that would make you an ideal candidate to join our team of Dental Assistants/Nurses include:

1. solid experience as a dental assistant/nurse in Singapore
2. previous training as a dentist/dental assistant is helpful but not essential
3. status in Singapore as a permanent resident/Singaporean – we are UNABLE to hire foreign staff due to Ministry of Manpower restrictions
4. ability to speak different languages, particularly, Bahasa Indonesia /Chinese, would be useful
5. willingness to learn and adapt to a new environment – at Specialist Dental Group, all our nurses will be exposed to different areas of specialized dentistry/procedures including dental implant procedures, braces, Invisalign, gum surgery, oral surgery, etc.
6. ability to anticipate the needs of the dental specialists /play an active role as a supporting member of the clinical team – our nurses have an opportunity to work with the different dental specialists on our team and play an important role in ensuring that our patients receive excellent care
7. customer service oriented – at our clinic, “the patient is boss” – thus, the ideal candidate will be able to take the initiative and go the extra mile to ensure that our patients feel reassured that they are in good hands
8. ability to work under stressful situations and multi-task
9. familiarity with the ClinicAssist software and operating digital x-ray/CT scan equipment would be a plus
10. team player – we have a multi-national, multi-lingual team of staff and it is essential that all members of our team get along with each other and support each other

Business Affairs Executive / Front Desk Executive

Qualities that would make you an ideal candidate to join our Business Affairs/Front Desk team include:

1. ability to multi-task and also work independently on different projects
2. computer literate – familiarity with Photoshop/HTML would be a bonus (for Business Affairs)
3. good communication skills – writing interest/ability would be a plus
4. multi-lingual – the more languages, the better – Essential would be Bahasa Indonesia/Melayu and Chinese.
5. ease of working with people at all levels and from different backgrounds
6. ability to keep calm in stressful situations (for Front Desk)
7. status in Singapore as a permanent resident/Singaporean – we are UNABLE to hire foreign staff due to Ministry of Manpower restrictions
8. customer-service oriented – at our clinic, “the patient is boss” – thus, the ideal candidate will be able to take the initiative and go the extra mile to ensure that our patients feel reassured that they are in good hands

Things you should Know

Here are some things to bear in mind when deciding whether you are a good fit with Specialist Dental Group:

1. you have to be willing to work hard – part of our mandate is to relieve those in pain, and to help restore those with complex dental problems. Some of our patients travel half way around the world for dental care and have a limited time in Singapore – we need to ensure that we take care of their dental needs in a timely manner
2. our clinic opens 5.5 days a week – yes, we open for half the day on Saturdays to better serve those patients who are unable to come on weekdays
3. we don’t give overtime pay – our remuneration package more than covers any overtime and we try not to work beyond our regular operating hours except when necessary  (most of us have young families… so we do need to also spend quality time with them)
4. our physical location is small so be prepared to work in close contact with your fellow colleagues
