You may know about dental examinations which involves visiting one’s dentist every six months. These examinations are essential in maintaining good oral health.
Another type of examination is called dental clearance assessments. Also known as pre-surgery assessments, they are recommended for medically compromised patients, especially before undergoing major surgery or treatment. Examples of such patients include those with diabetes, under multiple medication, have cardiovascular issues, infectious disease or cancer.
