While we’re having fun dressing up as our favourite cartoon characters for Halloween, it’s probably not enjoyable if we have to wear their smiles on an every-day basis. Some of our favourite cartoon characters have a less-than-aesthetic smile. Think Bugs Bunny (buck teeth), SpongeBob SquarePants (missing teeth), Stitch (spaced teeth), Grizzy (long canines), Donald Duck (protrusive lips), Blue Genie (long lower jaw), Mr. Simpsons (small lower jaw), etc.

Not only does well aligned teeth and jaws make you look good and feel good, it can also improve one’s ability to chew, bite or speak. It is recommended to schedule a visit with an orthodontist no later than age 7 so as to identify potential orthodontic problems and provide the most appropriate treatment at the right time. It is never too old to benefit from orthodontic treatment. Adults too can achieve a healthy and beautiful smile!
