As the year of 2015 comes to an end and we welcome the start of 2016 this week, it is with a thankful heart that we reflect on some of the meaningful and eventful happenings that took place in 2015.
Public Education: 4th Channel NewsAsia Seminar 2015
The fourth edition of our biennial dental seminar, which is organized together with Channel NewsAsia, successfully concluded on 15 August 2015. 500 attendees gathered to listen to our team of dental specialists and a medical specialist (Dr Daniel Wai) share about how dental and medical diseases are interrelated; as well as causes, effects and solutions for common dental issues such as gum problems, crooked teeth, wisdom teeth and missing teeth (check out the related infographics here).
Specialist Dental Group aims to increase the public’s dental knowledge/awareness through such seminars so that informed decisions can be made.
Professional Expertise: Nobel Biocare Symposium 2015
Many of our dental specialists are regularly invited to share their clinical expertise with fellow dental colleagues in Singapore and internationally through workshops and conferences.
One of the highlights were Dr Neo Tee Khin, Dental Specialist in Prosthodontics, and Dr Ho Kok Sen, Dental Specialist in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery speaking at the Nobel Biocare Symposium in Macau, to more than 450 fellow dentists from all over the world.

Patient Experience: Gleneagles Clinic Moved to #07-17
Update your address book(s) as our clinic at Gleneagles Medical Centre has moved from #10-07 to #07-17 as of 19 November 2015.
Led by Dr Edwin Tan, Dental Specialist in Prosthodontics, the team at Gleneagles look forward to serving you even better at our new clinic!
Healthy & Active #TeamSDG
Happy and healthy – that’s what we always wanted the team at Specialist Dental Group to be! This year, we had a company retreat that was centered on promoting a healthy lifestyle among our colleagues, ie. healthy eating and active living.
With most of our colleagues running, playing badminton, doing pilates and yoga regularly, we are proud to say that 37% of our colleagues did not take any medical leave in 2015!
Giving Back to Society
It is always a joy and privilege to have the opportunity to do our part for the community.
Earlier this year, a group of colleagues and their family members volunteered at One Community 2015 to help needy families in Kembangan-Chai Chee to clean and paint their houses.
In December, we also raised $8,514.24 for Rainbow Centre Singapore, a non-profit organization for children with special needs, which Specialist Dental Group have been supporting in various ways since 2012.
