What do you do on Sundays? Sleep in, spend time with your family, perhaps grocery shopping or laundry?
This Sunday, 1 February 2015, Specialist Dental Group and our families are going to take a break from our usual Sunday routines and spend it with needy families in the Chai Chee community. This is part of We Care @ One Community, which benefits close to 2,000 low-income residents. We participated in One Community 2014 and continuing the tradition, we will do likewise this year.
The theme for 2015 “We Care @ ONE Community – Love. Care. Respect” has three components:
- Rice Distribution (Love): To share a gift of basic human necessities with our less privileged neighbours.
- Spring Cleaning (Care): To ensure a dignified and conducive living environment for those more vulnerable amongst us.
- Tribute Dinner for Elders (Respect): To show our respect and appreciation to the elders of our community who have walked the path before us so that we have all that we savour and enjoy today.
We will be rolling up our sleeves and putting aside our dental equipment in exchange for painting brushes, mops and cloths as we will be taking part in the “Spring Cleaning (Care)” segment.
