Teeth-in-an-Hour™
What is Teeth-in-an-Hour™?
Conventional implant treatment requires implants to be placed a few weeks before the teeth are replaced. Thus, there is usually a time lapse between the time that the implant(s) are placed and the time that the patient has his or her final teeth.
With Teeth-in-an-Hour™, by Nobelbiocare, implants and replacement teeth can be placed at the same time. The process is completed in about one hour and the patient leaves with his or her final teeth at the end of the appointment.

- Speedy
Typical implant procedures take four to nine months with multiple surgeries to complete. Teeth-in-an-Hour™ allows up to 14 teeth to be implanted at one go, all within an hour. There is also minimal disruption to normal lifestyle
- Safe
Quick and safe procedure with few complications. It is a minimally invasive and painless procedure that alleviates patients' fear
- Perfect fit
The use of CAT scan and careful evaluation allows for perfectly fitted implants without the need to modify adjacent healthy teeth in securing implants. It also eliminates guesswork from dental surgery
What does the procedure involve?
- Initial dental evaluation and CAT scan
The dentist will make a diagnosis to ascertain if the patient is suitable for the procedure. A CAT (Computer Aided Tomography) scan of patient's jaw performed to gather digital information about the patient's jaw bone. This stage may involve one or multiple consultations depending on the patient and the procedure, to be determined by the dentist. A three-dimensional (3D) virtual model of the jaw will be recreated on the computer.
- Teeth Measurement
Upon confirmation of a patient suitability, measurement of the teeth can be done. A CT Scan may then be performed on the same visit. The final implant teeth will be fabricated in the laboratory.
- Surgery
A one-hour incision-free surgery is conducted with the patient under local anaesthesia (approximately two weeks after measurements are taken). No sutures (stitches) is required and there is typically no swelling or discomfort.
How much time before the whole process is completed?
The information will be transmitted to a laboratory in Sweden where the surgical guide and implant-supported teeth will be fabricated. Approximately two weeks after the initial consultation, implant supported teeth would be ready and together with the surgical guide, the surgery may be performed.
The whole process may be finished within 2 weeks. However, some patient may have certain condition which needs to be addressed before the implant surgery can be performed. This may prolong the treatment time. However, the dentist will customize the treatment to ensure convenience and minimal downtime for the patient.
When will I be able to resume daily activities?
Patient can immediately resume regular activities with no restrictions. All our patients can resume normal daily activities on the same day. Some may choose to take it easy for a day or two - it is a matter of personal choice.
Will I be in pain?
Nowadays implant procedures are painless. Under a little local anesthesia, occasionally in combination with a mild general anesthetic (called sedation), the procedures are carried out pain free. However, it is essential to take the medicine we prescribe for you during the post-treatment period, which ensures painless recovery.
How long will the dental implants last?
This treatment protocol is relatively new. Scientific research indicates about a 97% to 100% success rate so far.
